Herbal Gardens & Meditation Spaces
How Can A Garden Coach Help You?
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the vast world of gardening? It's like trying to decode a complex puzzle with countless pieces. Picture this: you eagerly plant a beautiful garden, only to find that your plants are struggling due to mysterious issues like soil pH or pests. It's frustrating, isn't it? That's where a garden coach steps in.
Gardening is like learning a new language – the terminology, the care routines, and the ever-changing seasons can leave you feeling lost. Imagine having a knowledgeable friend by your side, ready to translate the gardening jargon, solve problems, and provide encouragement. If you've ever doubted your green thumb, don't worry; I'm here to change your mind.
As your garden coach, I'm on a mission to simplify the gardening experience. Whether you're puzzled by plant selection or grappling with overgrown weeds, I'll be there to guide you through it all. While my heart belongs to herbal gardens, both medicinal and culinary, I also adore transforming spaces into peaceful meditation gardens and cozy retreats that warm the soul. Oh, and of course, kitchen gardens are always on the table!

About
Hi There! My name is Tish and I’ve always been in love with gardens, nature, animals, you name it! As a child, both of my grandmothers had kitchen gardens. Growing tomatoes was a favorite of mine and I still prefer homegrown over store-bought (I can taste the difference as I’m writing this!). My paternal grandmother grew so many things, I think she only went to the store to purchase items like flour, rice, and meat. We used to help her with canning vegetables, pickling, and making jams. My maternal grandmother has an amazing green thumb. She can grow anything! She doesn’t grow too much these days, but I can always count on her when I need some solid advice. She is still jarring figs though. So my childhood was full of learning how to grow things from home and taking care of plants.

My personal journey in the garden, however, did not begin until about 5 years ago.

Herbalism has been a part of my life, in some way, since I was 17. I didn't get serious about it until around 2011. I was fortunate to gain a mentor back in 2016 to really help me make sense of everything I was already studying and what a difference it made! Growing herbs and learning to communicate with plants became a favorite spare-time activity. I started growing vegetables and fruit and my heart was completely sold. Fast forward to today, I want to share this information with as many people as I can! I believe that educating others about plant medicine helps reconnect one to nature...and I feel this is needed more now than ever. This is why I created Charmed Gardens.
